First of all, the German bargain supermarkets sound like something out of a nightmare. Bright lights, few windows, aisles designed like a maze, unrefrigerated fruits and vegetables, etc. I don't require very much food daily, so I think I'll just go somewhere that may not be cheap but at least has quality food and an environment that doesn't make me want to suffocate myself.
I loved the USA kulinarisch website. There was an article talking about "Afternoon Tea" and what Americans eat for said meal. I found this amusing because I have never met an American who refers to any meal they have as "Afternoon Tea," and am still quite certain that the only people who have "Afternoon Tea" are the British and hobbits. There was also someone on that website asking the public where they could find pecan pie. I find this tragic, because pecan pie is delicious.
In regards to the last two articles, I had already decided that when I visit Europe, I will use the public transportation. I have no intention of ever driving anywhere in Europe. Also, I find it interesting that the "lines" in Germany are more like angry mobs. This would either screw me over or give me an advantage. On the one hand I'm quite small and am easily knocked around by larger people. On the other hand, I'm small enough to make my way through crowds without others noticing. I'm hoping the latter would work out for me in these German mobs.
